About this experience
Travel from Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) to Bonn, Beethoven's birthplace, with a train ride lasting 20-30 minutes along the Rhine. The tour includes visits to Bonner Münster, a notable Romanesque church, and the Beethoven House, where the composer was born. Participants will explore the Marktplatz and the Altes Rathaus, and visit the University of Bonn located in the Electoral Palace. The itinerary also features a walk through the Hofgarten and a stop at Alter Zoll for views of the Rhine River. The tour concludes at the Rheinuferpromenade before returning to Cologne.

Bonn Hauptbahnhof
Once we arrive at Bonn Hauptbahnhof, we will begin our walking tour through the historic city center.

Bonner Munster
Our first stop will be the Bonner Münster, an impressive Romanesque church considered one of the most important temples in Germany.

Beethoven-Haus Bonn
We will continue to the Beethoven-Haus, the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, where we will learn about the history of the city's most celebrated composer. An essential stop to discover the legacy of Bonn's most famous composer and learn about the history of one of the most important figures in universal music.

Altes Rathaus
Here we explore the market square and the old town hall One of the most photographed buildings in the city, famous for its elegant rococo architecture and political significance.

Hofgarten
Opposite the university, we'll stroll through the Hofgarten, a large urban garden that has been a meeting place for students and citizens for centuries. Later, we'll visit the Alter Zoll, an old fortification with magnificent views over the Rhine River and the surrounding hills.

Bonner Rheinuferpromenade
We will end our walk on the Rheinuferpromenade, the pleasant promenade along the Rhine, where we can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Bonn and learn about the city's close relationship with this important European river before starting our return to Cologne.
