About this experience

This tour runs from February to December on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is included in the price, and children up to 16 years old can enter for free. Participants will explore significant works of art in the treasury, including the cherry stone with 185 faces, golden coffee, and a centerpiece by the great mogul Aureng-Zeb. The tour showcases the castle's grandeur, featuring historical elements such as knight tournaments, the gala stairs leading to the sultan's tent, and princely clothing adorned with precious silk, gemstones, and pearls. From April 13th to November 3rd, 2019, visitors can ascend the Hausmannsturm for panoramic views of the Elbe valley. Starting January 2019, the tour also includes access to the small ballroom, and from October 2019, the parade rooms of Augustus the Strong, including his throne room. An optional city tour with an inside visit to the Frauenkirche is available in the morning at 10:30 a.m.
