About this experience

This day trip takes you to three key locations in Tuscany: Montalcino, known for Brunello wine; Pienza, famous for Pecorino cheese; and Montepulciano, recognized for Nobile wine. You will travel through the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia in a premium air-conditioned minivan, accompanied by an English-speaking driver. The tour is designed for small groups, accommodating a maximum of 8 participants. It is important to note that the itinerary order may change between Montepulciano and Montalcino for operational reasons. Complimentary water is provided during the trip.

08:00AM: Meet our English speaking driver and let's the tour begin!

Montalcino

09:45AM: The first stop will be in a great winery in Montalcino... The winery is owned by a local family and, talking with them, you will not have the feeling to visit their work place but their home instead!...You will know everything about Brunello di Montalcino: the vineyard techniques , the wine making process, its ageing and ,off course, how to appreciate it by drinking different vintages!

Fortezza di Montalcino

11:30AM: Enjoy a quick stop of 15 minutes to enjoy the castle di Montalcino and its tiny city centre.

Historic Centre of the City of Pienza

12:15PM: Arrived to Pienza, a Papal village famous for its Pecorino cheese, you will have the chance to enjoy an amazing 3 courses meal wich include wine and water. Following the lunch you will have free time to discover the lovely town of Pienza where you can appreciate the historic centre, enjoy the view points and visit the famous cheese shops!

Montepulciano

2:45PM: Here there we will be guided through an historical cellar called "The underground city" which is located downstairs of a local wine shop. At the exit from the underground city you will be greeted by a tasting of wine and other food specialities. Before leaving we will make sure you have enough time to visit the main square, placed on the top of the town, from where you can take the last pictures!
