This half-day tour is designed for wine enthusiasts looking to explore Bordeaux's lesser-known vineyards. Participants will visit two wineries, starting with a certified organic estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, where they will learn about wine production and taste a minimum of two wines. The group will then cross the Garonne river to the Entre-deux-Mers region, known for its diverse wine offerings, to visit a second winery and sample at least three additional wines. The tour begins at 1:50 pm in front of the Cité du Vin, with departure at 2:00 pm. The tour is suitable for those interested in both red and white wines. It is not ideal for those looking for a mainstream experience or large group settings. Participants should be aware that the return to Bordeaux is expected around 6:15 pm, with a possible variation of 15 minutes.

Itinerary

La Cite du Vin

You will meet your guide in front of the Cité du Vin (Wine Museum). He will explain the day's programme and you will set off for the first winery (30 minutes). On the way, he'll explain the specific characteristics of Bordeaux wines and the region you'll be visiting.

Sadirac

After a 30-minute drive, we'll stop at an estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region, the most beautiful part of the Bordeaux vineyards. After a tour of the estate and an explanation of the winemaking process, you will taste several of the estate's wines (in different colours). We'll then be back on the road (30 minutes) to head for the second estate.

Cadaujac

After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation. You'll visit the facilities of this Grand Cru before enjoying a tasting of some of Bordeaux's finest red and white wines.

La Cite du Vin

Once the visit to Pessac-Léognan is over, we'll head back to Bordeaux (30 minutes) where your guide will drop you off at the Cité du Vin.
