About this experience

This full-day trip from Strasbourg takes you to the Black Forest region in Germany. You will visit the spa city of Baden-Baden and have a stop at Mummelsee Lake, where you will have free time for lunch or a coffee break (not included). The lake is the largest, deepest, and highest of the seven cirque lakes. On your return journey, you will travel along the Badischerweinstrasse, Germany's longest wine route.

Baden-Baden

After 1 hour drive, reach the spa town of Baden Baden, nestled at the foot of the black forest. The city has attracted royalty, the rich and celebrities over the centuries. Follow your guide and discover the numerous architectural splendors and magnificent villas of the city.

Mummelsee

Arrive at pretty Mummelsee lake where you will have some free time for personal discovery and lunch. With a circumference of 800 m, a depth of 17 m and an elevation of 1,036 m, Mummelsee is the largest, deepest and highest of the seven cirque lakes. Don't miss the opportunity to savor local delicacies like cured meats or the world-famous Black Forest cake, leaving your taste buds satisfied!

Sasbachwalden

After lunch (at your own expense) your day tour will continue along the wine route of the Badischerweinstrasse. This wine route is the longest in Germany as it spans for more than 500 kilometers. Along the route, your guide will certainly make a few stops for great photo opportunities. One such stop will be in the village of Sasbachwalden. Set in the vineyards, this very well tended village is famous for having won the prestigious ‘flowering of the villages’ national exam. After the stop, return to Strasbourg.
