About this experience
Travel from Florence to the Chianti region for a half-day wine tasting experience. This tour includes visits to two wineries where you will participate in guided cellar tours and taste premium Chianti wines accompanied by typical Tuscan snacks. The tour is suitable for wine enthusiasts and those interested in the Tuscan countryside. It is not recommended for those who prefer a full-day itinerary or do not drink alcohol. Before booking, note that an optional morning Chianti Cooking Class is available, allowing you to prepare traditional Tuscan recipes and taste wines paired with your dishes.

Florence
Piazzale Montelungo is the meeting point for your tour. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure for the Check-In. Our assistant will be waiting for you at the end of the ramp connecting Piazzale Montelungo with the railway station Santa Maria Novella, wearing blue clothing with the Caf Tour and Gray Line logos, so they will be easy to recognize. After check-in, you will be ready to start your Chianti wine experience in the Tuscan countryside. Chianti Morning Tour - Check in Time: 8am - Departure Time: 8:15am. Chianti Cooking Class - Check in Time: 8am - Departure Time: 8:15am. Chianti Afternoon Tour - From March 27th until October 31st: Check in Time 02:15pm - Departure Time 2:30pm. From November 1st to March 26th: check in Time 01:30pm - Departure Time 1:45pm.

Greve in Chianti
Visit a charming winery located in the Florentine side of the Chianti region, near Greve in Chianti. During this first stop, you will discover the character of Chianti Fiorentino wines, shaped by the hills, climate, and winemaking traditions of this part of Tuscany. Continue your journey toward the Sienese side of Chianti, in the area of Monteriggioni, where a second winery welcomes you for another authentic tasting experience. Good to know
- Please note that the order of the visits may change
- We recommend to wear comfortable shoes. Wineries are usually located on the top of the hill and you start the visit with a short walk along the slope through vineyards.
- For small groups, up to 8 pax, the Tour escort service could be replaced with an English speaking driver-guide service, while maintaining unchanged the entire program of the excursion.
- Please be advised that it is required to bring your original ID with you during the tour
- In the visited wineries, it is not always possible to ensure the presence of staff who speak languages other than English.
