About this experience

This full-day tour from San Sebastian to Pamplona focuses on cultural and culinary experiences in Navarre’s capital, particularly during the San Fermin festival from July 6 to 14. Participants will have a bilingual guide and transportation provided. The tour begins at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the site of the chupinazo, and includes visits to calle Estafeta, Fuente de la Navarrería, and Plaza del Castillo, known for its historic cafés. Attendees will view the exterior of Pamplona Cathedral, walk along the Renaissance walls, and explore the green spaces of the Citadel while learning about San Fermin traditions, pintxos, and the city's heritage. There will be time for lunch, which is not included in the price, as well as opportunities for photos and a leisurely pace. Ayuntamiento de Pamplona

The Pamplona City Council is the institution in charge of governing the city of Pamplona, the capital of Navarra, Spain. The headquarters is located in the Town Hall Plaza, in the Old Town, which is the place from which the chupinazo is launched that starts the San Fermín Festivities every July 6 at 12:00.

Parque de la Ciudadela

The Citadel of Pamplona or The New Castle (in euskera, iruñeko zitadela; in Spanish, Ciudadela de Pamplona) is an old military renaissance fort, constructed between the 16th and 17th centuries in the city of Pamplona, the capital of the Navarre Community (Spain). At present a large part of the fort it is still standing in a public park with cultural activities taking place in its buildings. In 2015, UNESCO's approval for the further development of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain (The Camino de Santiago de Compostela: The French Camino and the Caminos in the North of Spain), Spain sent "Retrospective Inventory – Associated Componenets" documentation to where the Pamplona Citadel is located at No. 180.

Catedral de Pamplona

Pamplona Cathedral (Santa María la Real) is a Roman Catholic church in the archdiocese of Pamplona, Spain. The current 15th century Gothic church replaced an older Romanesque one. Archaeological excavations have revealed the existence of another two earlier churches. The Neoclassical façade was designed by Ventura Rodríguez in 1783. It has a 13th-14th-century Gothic cloister that provides access to two other Gothic rooms: the Barbazan chapel and the refectory. The Mediaeval kings of Navarre were crowned and some also buried there. The Navarrese Cortes (Parliament) was held there during the early modern ages.
