The start of Germany’s Fairytale Route and hometown of the Brothers Grimm. •German Goldsmiths’ House Museum: Set in a 500-year-old Renaissance building; exhibits precious gold/jewelry art from medieval times to today. •Philippruhe Castle: An 18th-century Baroque waterside palace on the Main River, with museums and elegant French/English-style gardens. The start of the Romantic Road, a historic Bavarian city. •Würzburg Residence: A magnificent Baroque palace (UNESCO World Heritage) celebrated as a masterpiece of European Baroque architecture. •Old Main Bridge: Classic viewpoints along the Main River, with scenes toward Marienberg Fortress. •Marienberg Fortress: The city’s symbol since the 12th century; enjoy museums, gardens and panoramic views over Würzburg and nearby vineyards.
