About this experience

Engage in a full-day private tour along the Mediterranean from Marseille, visiting Cassis Fishing Port, Cap Canaille, and tasting wines from the Cassis Appellation. This tour includes exploration of Cassis’ colorful harbor, pebbled beaches, and the limestone calanques. Enjoy the scenic Route des Crêtes, featuring views from Cap Canaille, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. The itinerary concludes with a tasting of white wines from the Cassis Appellation and a look into the history and maritime heritage of Marseille. This experience is suitable for those interested in coastal landscapes and wine tasting. It is not designed for large groups, as it is a private tour. Be aware that it involves outdoor activities and travel along coastal roads.

Itinerary

1

Port de Cassis

Walking tour and visit to the old port area, explore the tiny streets, historic buildings, the beach, bars, restaurants and cafés, plus you have time to take a short boat ride to explore the Calanques (not included in the price)

2

Route des Cretes

This is a spectacular drive along the cliff top road that looks out over the sea and beyond. Cap Canaille is the highest natural cliff in Europe and towers over the bay of Cassis. We drive through taking in as much of the scenery as we can, with frequent stops to enjoy the views and take photographs. (Access is subject to weather conditions as the road is closed when there are high winds - we propose an alternative route when this happens.)

3

Domaine Du Bagnol

Visit and wine tasting at Cassis Bodin Come one of the famous white wines from the Cassis appellation, in Provence, also rosé and red wines. (In the event this vineyard is not available - we work with two others nearby)

4

Parc national des Calanques

Boat trip from the port of Cassis to visit the national park from the sea. We visit five Calanques over a voyage that lasts just under two hours. (subject to weather conditions on the day) This is only available on tours operating between April-October. We reserve the right to adapt the itinerary in the event we are not able to offer this.
