About this experience

This tour allows travelers to explore Lake Como, departing from Milan. A professional driver will provide transportation in a Mercedes sedan or minivan, picking you up directly from your hotel. The itinerary includes a visit to one of the villas on the lake, such as Villa Balbianello, Villa Carlotta, or Villa Monastero, along with time in the town of Bellagio. An optional private boat cruise with a skipper can be added for an additional cost. This experience is private, accommodating only your party, with a flexible starting time and customizable itinerary.

Pick-up at your hotel/apartment in Milan on Mercedes car/minivan and transfer to Lake Como

Villa Del Balbianello

Free time to visit the gardens of Villa Balbianello on your own. The location on the banks of the lake is so beauitful that the villa has been used as filming location for Star Wars (Episode 2) and 007 Casino Royale. You will visit the gardens of the villa, the guided tour of the museum is not included. The villa is closed on Monday and Wednesday. When closed, you may visit another beautiful villa on the lake, Villa Carlotta or Villa Melzi.

Villa Carlotta

When Villa Balbianello is closed, you may visit Villa Carlotta (or Villa Melzi), another beautiful villa on the waterfront, surrounded by lush botanical gardens.

Lake Como

After the visit to the villa, together with your driver, you will take the ferry-boat to Bellagio. The 20-minute crossing is very nice and will let you see the beautiful scenery from the water (your driver will take care of the schedule and buy the tickets that are included in the price of the tour). If you wish, instead of taking the public ferry, you may choose to have a private boat tour with a private skipper. The duration of the private boat tour will be one hour and will allow you to see some of the nicest spots on the lake. The private boat tour is optional at additional cost (you may choose this option when booking the tour).

Bellagio

You will finally reach the lovely town of Bellagio. Here you will have free time to explore on your own and have lunch (please note that the price of lunch is not included in the price but we will be happy to give you some restaurant suggestions)

Milan

After Bellagio you will meet again your driver and he will take you back to your hotel/apartment in Milan

  • At Villa Balbianello you will visit the beautiful gardens. If you wish to do the visit inside the museum you need to prebook in advance a guided tour at additional cost and inform us in advance
  • During the winter months (November to March) villas may be closed and the ferry service may not be available
  • Shops and restaurants in Bellagio may be closed during the low season
