About this experience

Join the Oktoberfest celebration in Munich, where you will explore the city’s beer culture and enjoy the festival atmosphere. This experience includes a traditional Bavarian breakfast with beer, meeting your guide in central Munich to start the day. You will visit the largest inner-city beer garden, learning about the history of beer and tasting various Bavarian brews. Afterward, you will head to the Oktoberfest grounds, where you will have reserved seating, avoiding the crowds. Included in your package are 2 liters of beer, a half-roasted chicken, and an assortment of Bavarian meats and cheeses.

Good to know

  • You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol
  • Back packs are not allowed in the tents due to security reasons
  • Purses are allowed but only up to a capacity of three litres volume or a size of 20 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm.
  • DSLR cameras are OK but we don't recommend it, a smart phone camera is more than enough
  • Ladies: wear comfortable walking shoes or a low wide heal, Munich is a beautiful city with lots of cobble stoned streets. We also recommend wearing spandex shorts underneath your dresses to avoid embarrassment on carnival rides etc.
  • Getting dressed up in Dirndl and Lederhosen will make it a trip to remember along with all those photos
  • Book a group multi day train ticket so its easy to get around - MVG Group Ticket 1 or 3 day
  • Cash for spending and tipping. Cards are often not accepted.
  • Make sure that you bring the business card of your hotel with you (you wouldn't believe how many forget where they're staying)
  • Bring a photo copy of your valid ID but leave the original in your hotel room
