This tour takes travelers through the towns along the Nervión estuary from Bilbao to the sea. Participants will visit Barakaldo, Santurce, and Algorta, exploring their history and key sites. The itinerary includes crossing the estuary via the historic Portugalete bridge and a visit to the mining town of La Arboleda, where travelers will ride the La Reineta Funicular. Suitable for those interested in local culture and history, this tour may not suit travelers looking for a purely urban experience. It is important to note that the tour involves walking and some elevation changes.
Ascent in the Funicular de La Reineta to enjoy the landscape that surrounds the mining town of La Arboleda.
After stopping in the municipality of Sestao to observe a beautiful panorama of the Ria del Nervión, we will go to Santurce, a town with great marine tradition and stroll through its port.
We continue to Portugalete where a universal jewel awaits us: the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge. We will have the possibility of ascending to its highest part thanks to the elevator that elevates us to 50m high. The views are spectacular. Then we will proceed to cross the estuary mounted on the boat that takes us to the other side.
Visit to the cliffs of Punta Galea from where you can enjoy an impressive view of the Bilbao Superport.
