About this experience

This private tour departs from Bilbao and includes visits to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and San Sebastian. Travelers will explore San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, a 10th-century hermitage known as Dragonstone from Game of Thrones, which involves climbing 241 steps with a guide who shares insights about the site's history and conservation. The tour continues to San Sebastian, where participants will enjoy four pintxos paired with wine or cider in selected bars in the Old Town. A stroll along La Concha Bay allows for appreciation of the area's architecture and local highlights. The tour includes a professional guide, private transport, and entry to Gaztelugatxe. Please note that the itinerary may be reversed, visiting San Sebastian first and Gaztelugatxe in the afternoon. This experience suits those interested in culture, nature, and cuisine, but may not be suitable for those with mobility issues due to the climb at Gaztelugatxe.

Climb the famous 241 steps to the top, where you’ll enjoy amazing views of the coastline and the Bay of Biscay. Parte Vieja

In this part of the tour, we’ll delve into the narrow streets of the Old Town, where one of the city's most intense battles took place. We will visit the Market of La Bretxa, a historic marketplace that has been a vital part of local life for centuries. As we explore, you'll discover century-old shops, some over 190 years old! We’ll step inside the Church of San Vicente, a Gothic gem that holds a relic older than the city itself, and visit the famous Plaza de la Constitucion, which conceals fascinating hidden secrets. Our journey ends at the iconic Church of Santa Maria del Coro, where we’ll admire its stunning Baroque façade from the outside. During this part of the tour, we’ll also stop to enjoy a local gastronomic experience with 4 pintxos paired with 4 wines, a perfect introduction to the flavors of the Basque Country.
