We show photos and inform about the former Gängeviertel, where workers lived with their families. Nowadays the street with its magnificent office buildings is mainly known for shopping.

Trostbrucke
At the former center Trostbrücke stood the Hamburg City Hall, the stock exchange and the Libra. Today, there are office buildings and the Patriotic Society.

Mahnmal St. Nikolai
The remains of the St. Nikolaikirche are reminiscent of the Second World War and are a memorial to the victims of war and tyranny.
