This tour involves visiting the main islands of the Venetian lagoon. It departs from Piers 1, 2, and 3 in front of Palazzo Cornoldi, Riva degli Schiavoni, 4142. The first destination is Murano, where you will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to explore and visit a glassworks for a master glassmaker demonstration. Next, you'll stop in Burano, known for its colorful houses, for approximately 2 hours. The final stop is Torcello, with a duration of 1 hour, which has a rich history and very few inhabitants. The return trip will offer views of the lagoon. The tour concludes at the starting point. An additional option is available for a shorter visit, covering only Murano for 1 hour and Burano for 3 hours.
Once onboard the boat, you will begin sailing heading to Murano, where you will stop for one hour and 15 minutes. Here you will have the chance to visit one of the island’s glassworks and attend a demonstration of a master glassmaker (lasting about 15 minutes). Alternatively - or to follow - you can walk to the lighthouse or opt for a visit to the iconic sights of Murano, such as the Basilica of Santi Maria and Donato, the Glass Museum and Palazzo da Mula.
The last stop will be Torcello, where the Venetian civilization was born: the first settlements date back to the 7th century when local folks sought refuge on the island to escape the Barbarians’ invasions. Today Torcello has just over 10 inhabitants but its historical and artistic testimonies make it a very popular destination for visitors from all over the world. We suggest you visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the ruins of the Baptistery of San Giovanni Evangelista, ‘Attila’s Throne" and the Devil's Bridge, today still wrapped in a mysterious legend.
