About this experience

Explore the history of Christianity from Roman times to the Renaissance and beyond by visiting notable churches in Milan. The tour includes Santa Maria presso San Satiro, Sant’Ambrogio, and Santa Maria delle Grazie. There are two options available: a 2-hour tour focusing on the top three churches—Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio, Santa Maria delle Grazie, and Santa Maria presso San Satiro—or a 4-hour tour that includes the Duomo di Milano with skip-the-line access, along with the same three churches. This tour suits those interested in religious history and architecture. It provides a comprehensive look at Milan's significant churches, basilicas, and cathedrals while delving into 2,000 years of Christian history in Italy.

Itinerary

1

Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio

Another point of interest will be the Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio, which is one of the oldest churches in Milan. Its construction lasted from the 4th to the 11th century, and many original mosaics and artworks can still be admired today.

2

Duomo Di Milano

Tickets include access to the Cathedral, Archeological Area, Duomo Museum and Rooftops (by lift). Admire the beautiful facade and interior with amazing Gothic details and countless sculptures, and hear the story of Leonardo da Vinci’s contribution to the final design of the cathedral.

3

Santa Maria di San Siro

Visit 3 historic churches in Milan’s Old Town. You will meet your Private Guide by the San Giovanni in Conca, which is one of the rare examples of the Milanese Romanesque Crypt. From there, you will head to a small, 15th century Church of Santa Maria at San Satiro. It has interesting elements such as a false apse, which creates the effect of a perspective illusion, and gilded interiors with valuable works of Renaissance art.
