Join a small group e-bike tour through the Tuscan countryside surrounding Florence, covering about 7 miles in 2.5 hours. The tour starts in the authentic Oltrarno area and includes a visit to a countryside venue where you will taste extra virgin olive oil with fresh homemade bread, produced locally. On Mondays, due to the venue's closure, participants will instead enjoy artisan gelato or a traditional Italian breakfast at a nearby pastry shop, depending on availability. The experience includes a visit to the olive orchard, providing insights into the olive oil harvest and production process. Riders will explore scenic areas of the Florentine hills, featuring olive groves and quiet roads, including views from San Miniato al Monte Church, away from typical tourist paths. This tour is suitable for those looking for a relaxed outdoor experience, but may not be ideal for individuals who prefer more rigorous cycling.
During the first part of the bike ride we will pass through the ancient and massive gate of Porta Romana. This used to be the main entrance to Florence during the Renaissance, and it's still surrounded by the 13th-century city walls that can only be seen in this part of town!
After the first hill that we'll climb to get out of town, we'll reach this impressive historical Villa that used to be the holiday residence of the Medici family - on top of the hill and immersed in beautiful countryside
Admire the best view of Florence from the top of San Miniato al Monte, the oldest Abbey in the city.
We will pass by an ancient Tuscan Village where Galileo Galilei used to live, and also see his star observatory immersed in the hills
