About this experience

This private day trip from Paris takes you to the Champagne region in a Mercedes. Included are hotel pick-up and lunch. You will visit the guided cellars of Moet et Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, with Champagne tastings at both locations. The trip allows you to choose between the MOST POPULAR and ADVANCED options for your visits. You will also stop at the Hautvillers Saint-Sindulphe church and a viewpoint, and have a self-guided visit at Reims Cathedral. The MOST POPULAR option includes a lunch with a maximum of 15 people, featuring Moët Imperial and Grand Vintage, plus Veuve Clicquot's Rosé Assemblage, and two glasses of Rosé and Brut Carte Jaune paired with a selection of cheese and charcuterie. The ADVANCED option accommodates up to 10 people, offering a 1.5-hour tasting of two glasses of MOËT Grand Vintage Blanc and MOËT Grand Vintage Rose, alongside a 1.5-hour tasting of four cuvées from Veuve Clicquot, including Brut Carte Jaune, Extra Brut Extra Old, Vintage 2015, and Vintage Rosé 2015.

Paris

07:30 Pickup from your hotel and Departure destination Champagne region. There are approx. 140 km to drive on a highway. One stop at a rest area will be made. The ride takes about 2 hours and one part of it goes through picturesque landscapes with vineyards.

12:00 - 13:30 Lunch break in Épernay. Épernay is known as the Champagne Capital of France. Located along the Marne surrounded by the wine hills it is Home to many region’s most prestigious champagne houses. Épernay is a must for wine and champagne lovers. Walk the Avenue of Champagne attracts many tourists. 13:30 Departure to Hautvillers village. It takes 10 minutes (6 km).

Abbaye Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers

13:40 Short stop at the best Viewpoint in Champagne with a magnificent view over the vineyards and Marne River Valley. 14:00 Departure to Reims. It takes 30 minutes (28 km)

Veuve Clicquot

14:45 - 16:15 Veuve Clicquot Champagne house visit. Existing since 1772 Veuve Clicquot produces nowadays more that 22 million bottles per year. Guided tour though the cellars made by Veuve Clicquot staff gives You great insight into the history and Champagne production method. Tasting of 2 glasses of Champagne completes this experience.
