Take a day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, where you will ride in an air-conditioned bus to see the mountain's panoramic views and learn about the history of its monastery from knowledgeable guides. There will be free time for independent exploration. The tour continues to a boutique winery located in a 10th century castle owned by the same family for 36 generations, offering views of the mountain. You can choose between a light tapas brunch or a multi-course traditional lunch at the winery, depending on your selection. The experience includes a 3-wine tasting session and insights into the wine-making process before returning to Barcelona. For an additional cost, you can upgrade to a VIP Winery Experience that includes exclusive access to the barrel cellar and a guided tasting of 3 premium wines.
Upon arrival, your guided tour consists of an extended visit throughout the Basilica and Monastery, with free time to explore the site on your own afterwards. There are many activities to choose from – you may want to see the Black Madonna, visit the Museum, make your way to the Holy Cave, ride a funicular to the top of the mountain, or shop at the farmer’s market. At the end of the visit you'll have the chance to attend a performance by l’Escolania de Montserrat, the oldest Boys’ Choir in Europe.
Scenic drive through the mountains.
