About this experience

This tour takes you through Italy's Food Valley, focusing on Parmigiano Reggiano, wine, and traditional balsamic vinegar. You will witness the entire process of making Parmigiano Reggiano, including a visit to the aging storage where the cheese is kept. A tasting session follows. The next part of the tour includes a visit to a wine producer, featuring a guided tour of a private Wine Museum and an exploration of local traditions, concluding with a tasting of their wines. Finally, you'll learn about Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, which is aged for a minimum of 12 years in wooden barrels. This includes tastings of various ages of balsamic vinegar and a curated lunch that pairs local cuisine with the vinegar. The tour requires a minimum of 2 participants. For groups of 2 to 3/4, transportation is by car; for 4 to 7 participants, a minivan is used.

Guided tour of the Wine Museum and Local Traditions to learn how the grape was harvested and pressed for making the juice, and how wine was bottled before the industial era! Conclude the tour with an immersive tasting of 3 different wines here produced. NOTE: it could be this wine producer or an othe rone of the area, depending on availability

Caseificio Bio Reggiani

Guided Parmesan Cheese factory tour with tasting. Guided tour into a local and typical farmto see all the production of the famous Parmigiano Reggiano: the first step is to see where the milk is cooked and how it becomes a wheel of cheese. During the first tour of the day at 09 am, you have the opportunity to see how the cheese workers create the wheels from the copper boilers. After the salinization room, step into the aging storage with thousand of wheels. Vist at the stable with the cows included. The experience finishes with an amazing tasting with 3 ages of Parmigiano Reggiano, fresh ricotta with balsamic and other snacks... Lambrusco wine included!
