Travel from Bologna to Venice with a private transfer. A driver will collect you from your hotel and transport you to Venice. Upon arrival, a guide will lead you on a two-hour tour through the historic streets, culminating at Piazza San Marco, where you will visit the Basilica of San Marco and the market area. Basilica di San Marco

After the overall view of the square, it is a must to enter the Basilica of San Marco, one of the largest, most famous and most beautiful churches in the world. Even if you have seen it countless times on sites and travel guides, the live view of St. Mark's Basilica will surprise you: on the outside it is an exaggeration of domes, arches and golden spiers; the interior is a triumph of mosaics and gold.

Ponte di Rialto

The Rialto Bridge was built between 1588 and 1591, based on a project by the architect Antonio da Ponte, to replace the previous wooden structure, which collapsed twice and burned on various occasions. The structure of the bridge is similar to the previous ones and consists of two inclined ramps joined by a portico in the center. Any time is good to visit the Rialto Bridge! On the bridge you can try to take pictures, among the many tourists who are trying to do the same.

Mercati di Rialto

Crossing the Rialto Bridge from San Marco, you will reach the Rialto Market, a colorful place where fruit and vegetables are sold. The market has ancient origins and has been built in this place since 1097. It opens every day, from 9 to 12 in the morning, in the Campo de la Pescaria. In summer, even more than in other seasons, you will realize how difficult it is to resist the temptation to approach the colorful boxes of fresh fruit on the market!

Canal Grande

The Grand Canal is Venice's number one tourist attraction: the most famous, the most original and the first you will come across. And it's free too! This is the wide S-shaped or snake-like canal that crosses the entire historic center of Venice, dividing it in two: it is the first thing you will see as soon as you leave the train station. Just under 4 km long, the Grand Canal is the main communication route in Venice: just follow its banks to get to the heart of the city and find all the other must-see attractions. A boat ride to admire the splendid palaces overlooking the Grand Canal is a must, and to get into the spirit of the city you can take the means most used by Venetians: the vaporetto.
